What happens in Thirteen never stays in Thirteen
A club where cocktails wrap around Japanese small plates like a killer hook – Thirteen is where live performances meet the slickest DJs.
Thirteen and Chateau Denmark are the producers, creators and promoters of a laundry list of happenings here on Denmark Street. From all day festival ‘Denmark Street Sessions’ with over 20 live performances, to our trademark twisted side show meets cabaret night ‘Rowdy’, and the late night bash where live meets recorded – ‘Hellraising’. And most lately - the all-star line up for ‘Seven Days of Blues’ as well as ‘One Night Only’ a food series becoming known for taste, flavour and technique as well as cultural blends that promise truly unique dining experiences.
Collectively a hub and the beating heart of Denmark Street – Thirteen is a place where live music, DJs, record, guitar and music stores all help fuel a charm that’s hard to describe and yet impossible to miss. The history, stories and architecture that have lived here, have done so, for years, unmistakably renegade in mindset. Over the decades, outliers, misfits and rebels have paraded this street with pride. From Jimi to Mick, Ozzy & Johnny plus those who still frequent, all collude to create a place where the music never stops.
The talent that’s performed in Thirteen at Chateau Denmark includes Lava La Rue, Jason Momoa, Sir Rod Stewart, Hot Property, Stolen Nova, Amazonica, Lou Hayter, Ed Bennett, Rex Roulette, The Daybreakers and countless more. All the the doors here on Denmark Street – have become the epicentre of music culture - which is a rare thing, for a whole street to stand for an industry collectively. But the beat of this street has been pumped around the world for decades. And if Denmark Street is Chateau Denmark – one could effortlessly argue that the greatest exports nearly always come from a Chateau.
From product launches to residents affairs Denmark Street is the starting point for anything musical in London. Musical in the sense of genuine instruments, craftsmanship and culture, from tech, fashion, film and all culture that goes through music. Denmark Street is the alpha and omega - more rough around the edges, less pretentious and much more authentically focussed than other London street. This street is special because its genuine in a way that will never try to be anything other than what it is.
So make no mistake, Denmark Street is for musicians and by musicians.
